Monkey Trap
Monkey Trap

He wakes up in the middle of the night
She wakes up in the middle of a dream
He sleepwalks through his afternoons
She girltalks about why nothing's what it seems

They don't know what they believe
They share life's little mysteries
They've got it all but all of it's black
They've got their hands inside

The monkey trap

He wakes up in the middle of his life
She wakes up in the middle of a scream
He wonders how did I get here anyway
She's like a ragdoll ripping at the seams

And they don't know what they believe
They share love's little mysteries
They sleep together back to back
They've got their hands inside

The monkey trap

It's too bad they've got their hands so full
They can't pull back and they won't let go
The monkey trap
